About

Executive|Lifelong Learner

Nice to meet you! I’m Lindsay Brady. And I’m beginning with the end in mind…

You see, I’ve spent most of my career running businesses for consumer goods companies. I’ve learned a lot along the way, thought a lot about what makes me tick, and crystallized what I want to have accomplished at the end of my career. After a lot of self-reflection, I’ve come to realize that I have 2 main aspirations:

  1. Have a significant impact on-and shape the face of-the companies and industries I work in for the next 50 years. Over time, I've come to define this as creating positive human impact and sustainable business models.
  2.  In order to achieve goal #1, build the next generation of leaders and change agents, impacting one million individuals with a focus on under-represented populations.
  3. A distant #3 is to be a Chief Executive Officer and lead an organization.

As time has gone on, although I’ve mostly focused on working on large businesses at established companies, I’ve started to think about the whole ecosystem of organizations where I can make an impact. I’ve realized that I can be doing more to help people and organizations that are in an earlier life stage, are smaller, and are less established. I plan to continue working in large organizations and formally mentor people within those, but I’ve also gotten involved in start-up consulting, advising venture funds, and board membership. My plan is to make an impact across the ecosystem. This blog represents an effort to make an impact in another area of the ecosystem-helping individuals with whom I wouldn’t otherwise come into contact. I’ve learned a lot over the course of my career, made a few mistakes, and if my journey can help anyone-even minimally-become more successful on theirs, than I will consider this to be a success.

All the best,

Lindsay
